It came, it went, and we conquered!
The RITC happened this past weekend with stunning, staggering, and all around not-so-surprising results! We had THREE Superior ratings in the motley crew that joined NorTHeatre at the RITC.

At Café Chez Francis, a group of promoters plot to tear up Paris in order to unearth oil that the Prospector believes he can locate in that neighborhood. This plan crosses paths with the Madwoman of Chaillot, who is not normal in her own mind, but shows a worldly goodness and common sense. She soon sees from the Prospectors scheme that the world has turned into an unhappy, greedy place with people only looking for power and magnificent goods. As she unifies with the other “mad” woman of Paris, she gathers tangible proof of these wreckers of happiness. The Madwoman of Chaillot and other mad woman proceed to have them tried and condemned to extermination. The culprits, lured by the scent of oil and high riches, go into a bottomless pit which opens out of the Madwoman’s cellar. Joy, justice and love return to the world.

Auditions for this play (written in 1944) are on Thursday the 13th of September! Please prepare a short (under 1 minute) monologue to present at Auditions and bring your game face!

Hello Thespians in Induction and outside of induction! A thrilling new start to the school year! In fact we’ve double booked THURSDAY the 6th of SEPTEMBER!
First there is THE FIRST DRAMA CLUB MEETING OF THE YEAR in the schools auditorium at 2pm!
And then In the Auditorium we have the TOT’s Traveling Performance auditions (30 second monologue). If you wish to know more, please visit the NorTHeatre FaceBook page! (Auditions take place 2:45pm)
The first drama club meeting of the year will take place on the 6th of September!
Thespians are REQUIRED to attend, repeat, REQUIRED. You must speak DIRECTLY to an officer (preferred Cat Marginson) if you cannot make the meeting, and it must be an ACTUAL excuse (Doctor’s appointment etc.) We’re back on the THREE STRIKE system. More on that at the meeting.

These two Thespians received a Superior rating on their Duet Acting IE, Name of the Game by Charles M. Tanner, on their second day at the Nebraska Festival.
